Chevrolet is an American automobile brand founded in 1911. The brand started selling the 'Classic Six', a premium car priced at $2,500, in 1912, but had problems making a profit. Chevrolet became a subsidiary of General Motors (GM) in 1918 as the automakers low-priced brand.

In 1929 Chevrolet introduced a 194 cubic inch displacement (cid) (3.2 L) six-cylinder engine as standard in all its models. This engine with overhead valves replaced the previous 171 cid (2.8 L) four-cylinder engine. A copy of this straight-six engine was used in the first Toyota car, the AA from 1936.

Harley Earl penned the 1932 Chevrolet Sport Roadster, a scaled down Cadillac by style, but priced at $445. The Chevrolet Suburban, a truck based wagon, was introduced in 1935 and is the longest lived continuous production nameplate in the US.

The first half of the 1940s military equipment for World War II was produced, among them ambulances and trucks.

In 1953 the fiberglass Chevrolet Corvette was introduced and in 1955 the Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe with the small-block V8 came to market.

1959 saw the Corvair with its rear-mounted, aluminum flat six-cylinder air-cooled engine. It was a compact car produced as four-door sedan and station wagons, two-door convertible and hardtop coupe, a small van and as a small pickup truck. The Chevrolet Corvair was a domestic answer to compact cars imported from Europe and 1.8 million Corvair's in its different configurations were produced.

The latter part of the 1970s and the 1980s saw more fuel efficient vehicles due to higher gas prices and government mandated emission controls. The 4th generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, the C4, was completely redesigned for the 1984 model year.

The Camaro, introduced in 1966 as an answer to the Ford Mustang, was redesigned for its 4th generation that started selling in 1993. The Camaro was removed from the market in 2002, but reintroduced in 2009. The 5th generation Camaro has a design based on the first generation. The 5th generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, the C5, was introduced in 1997, the 6th generation, the C6, in 2005.

A little over 200 million Chevrolet cars and trucks have been built in the company's first 100 years.

These tasks include: hauling cord-wood, pulling a thirty-foot flatbed trailer loaded with several tons of hay bales, transporting pick-up beds full of gravel, pulling a surface conditioner around hay fields, transporting fencing material and equipment across decidedly hostile terrain, and many other tasks that push the vehicle to its limits. Product Installation (2015 Chevrolet Silverado for Reference)

Step 1: Raise the upper and lower glovebox doors to gain access to the glovebox mounting screws

Step 2: Remove the two glovebox mounting screws located across the upper glovebox trim panel

Step 3: Remove the two glovebox mounting screws located across the lower glovebox trim panel

Step 4: Gently pry the lower glovebox away from the dashboard gaining access to the area behind

Step 5: Disconnect the wiring attached to the factory infotainment control module

Step 6: Gently remove the factory infotainment module from its dashboard mount by pulling forward

Step 7: Slide the Rostra SoftTouch OE infotainment control module into the factory dashboard mount

Step 8: Gently pry the dashboard side panel away gaining access to route the GPS antenna harness

Step 9: Lift the factory speaker grill to gain access to the factory GPS antenna mounting location

Step 10: Place the GPS antenna into the factory location, connect it to the navigation module and close the grill
